Concept/Amount and Duration of the scholarship:

Mit With the new scholarship project "HSS=Higher Secondary Scholarship", which was launched at the beginning of the school year in Nepal (April 2023), I have added another facet to the long-term scholarship programs PEP and SSP as well as the annual scholarship program ASP within the available budget.
We look after 30 qualified graduates of the SEE exam (Secondary Education Exam = intermediate school leaving certificate after grade 10) from particularly precarious families who cannot afford for their children to continue attending school.

With our scholarship for school fees, school supplies and school uniform, we enable the girls and boys, who are responsibly selected by the school principals with the participation of my helpers, to attend grades 11 and 12 at a higher secondary school. Here they can obtain university entrance qualifications. The children all come from families. The amount of funding - as for the higher secondary level in the PEP program that has now expired - is 40,000 rupees per year.

The students selected in spring 2023 will receive the scholarship for 2 years. Afterwards, a new group of 30 students who are worthy of support will be selected.

At the start of the school year in April 2023, my helpers handed over checks for the scholarships for Class IX of the higher secondary school in the presence of the respective school principals.
