Invitation for an outdoor picnic for all SSP-Students
October 14th, 2023

At official events such as the previous 15 anniversaries of PEP, it is apparently unavoidable in Nepali culture that lengthy speeches often have to be given by numerous official guests. On my first visit 3 1/2 years after the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, I asked my friends to arrange a completely informal meeting with "my" boys and girls.
The "outdoor picnic" with all 64 active students and my 6 helpers from the PEP committee, but without parents, without dignitaries from administration and institutions, i.e. in a completely relaxed, informal atmosphere, was a complete success and the most beautiful experience, that I have experienced in my 15 years of supporting young people.

As early as 7 a.m., all students were picked up by buses from the centre of Panga and taken to the leisure park in Chobhar, near the Jal Binyak Temple.

A stage tent in the forest with complete seating was prepared by my helpers

Opening speeches, kept very short!

Heart touching, informal meeting with the 'children'

First opportunity for many informal, very private conversations. A day without long-winded formal speeches, but a real "family reunion" in a cheerful atmosphere, which everyone involved enjoyed very much.
