The economic development

IIn the summer of 2003 the number of employees had already increased to 11. 2 master tailors are responsible for cutting and technical expert advice.

It should not be forgotten that the excellent order situation is due in particular to my helper Lalita Maharjan, who does tireless and very successful marketing for the delivery of school uniforms to all schools in the region. Based on the high reputation of Nepalhilfe Kirtipur, in particular the regionally renowned scholarship programs and the support of the population with food programs and oxygen equipment in difficult COVID-19 times, the principals and head masters of the schools can easily convince their students and their

parents to order their school clothing cost-effectively through our WEP project.

But other clothing for everyday use for children and adults, including traditional Newar clothing, is also increasingly being ordered from our tailor shop.

The tailoring staff has now grown together into a good team, supported by the good feeling that the project has given everyone a safe workplace

Shirts, jackets, trousers and skirts for school uniforms at the various schools in Kirtipur Municipality are piled up in the warehouse - sorted in precise order.

In order to attract more customers outside of the school area, improve the order situation and thus the economic situation of the tailoring business, we are supporting the establishment of a small clothing-store in the immediate vicinity of the workshop, which is scheduled to be set up at the beginning of 2024.
